| We wereup and out a 9:00 a.m. local time and on our way to the Badlands in South Dakota. We stopped for a butt break in Chugwater, Wyoming and for a snack. A fellow BMW enthusiast tries to get us to eat some chili there; says it is the best in the world. It's a bit early, so we respectfully decline and head through the Black Hills to Rapid City. We arrived early and drove around town while we waited for our room to be ready. It is 3:00 p.m. local time. We dodged another storm today in our travels. The storms have been quite awesomeduring our travels. We went back to the motel an hour later and the room was not yet ready. When they finally checked us inthey gave us keys to another room that was not ready. After quite a wait, we finally got into our room. We walked across the highway on the walkway and found a great Sports Bar for dinner. The motel manager paid for our dinner since we were inconvenienced by the delay in getting our room! Nice! Very nice! | |
